November 2020 saw the death of football legend Diego Maradona at the age of only 60.  One of the greatest players of all time, he was captain when Argentina won the 1986 World Cup, scoring the ‘Hand of God’ goal against England in the quarter-finals.

Drawing an analogy about football and work, is the captain the most important team member, does the captain need to score all the goals?  I am the captain of our team – Evergreen Dictate is my business, my baby, my passion – but I certainly could not accomplish what we do and achieve our targets without the team members – our players.

At Evergreen Dictate we are very much a team – our squad are long serving and we have worked together for many years.  Each player can rely on the certain fact of other players pulling their weight.  Here it does not matter what number is on a shirt – our high standards and excellent work ethic runs through the team.

To ‘assist’ in football is the act of helping another player score points or goals.

Our goals are joint efforts – we envisage, plan and commit to first class service.  A team member may answer a call and deal with a new enquiry in an excellent manner – somebody else could then pick up and deal with that new enquiry and somebody else could obtain agreement that the customer wants to go ahead – a goal scored!  One for the team!  Who scored? It was a team effort!

I am the captain, but I’m very pleased and actually grateful to also be part of such a great team, and our team is Premier League.  If you are thinking of outsourcing your typing needs, give us a call – you will be in the best seats, we won’t sideline you and we won’t leave you in the dugout.
